The Aldergrove Business Association is hosting its third annual trick-or-treat event with local businesses downtown on Halloween.
From 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, about 50 Aldergrove businesses will have orange balloons outside their doors indicating their participation and will hand out treats, toys, Pokemon cards, and surprise gift bags, said Jodi Steeves, ABA president.
"Many ABA shops will be open for safe and fun trick-or-treating this October in Aldergrove," she said.
Steeves added that some businesses outside of the downtown core will be setup on the sidewalks in front of other ABA stores between 271 and 273 Streets along Fraser Highway.
Like last year, Steeves will also be handing out jumbo chocolate bars. She hopes to beat last year's record, which was 376.
Participating businesses are along Fraser Highway between 264 and 273 Streets.
Following the trick-or-treating, the Aldergrove legion branch is hosting its own Halloween event from 4 to 8 p.m.
