It’s Alive!

The 18th annual Arts Alive festival happens this Saturday in downtown Langley City.

And once again, the Fraser Highway one-way will be awash in colour and sound, as artists, artisans, crafters and musicians entertain visitors, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In addition to checking out some original artwork, including paintings, scuptures, pottery and jewelry, festival goers can listen to live music from any of three stages placed throughout the festival zone.

A children’s fun park will provide age-appropriate activities for younger crowds — including chalk art, face painting and craft making.

The day wraps up with a performance of As You Like It, presented on the Douglas Park Spirit Square stage, beginning at 7 p.m.  Admission to the play, presented by Bard in the Valley, is free, but donations will be accepted in support of the theatre company.
