Children’s entertainers Bobs and Lolo are coming and are presenting their Christmas concert called Wave Your Antlers.
They perform Dec. 6 at the Chief Sepass Theatre in Fort Langley in two afternoon shows.
This fun family event presents headliners Bobs & Lolo with special guests Rockin’ Robin & the Magical Tree.
Bobs and Lolo use music and movement to connect kids with nature.
Sharing musical adventures that engage, inspire and educate, they teach their young audiences to care about themselves, their neighbours, and the planet.
This award-winning Canadian duo has been critically acclaimed for their music and programming from educators and parents alike.
“Hosting special family concerts like this is a priority for the Chief Sepass Theatre and it is an wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the spirit of the season,†said theatre manager Kevin Statham.
They have released a new Christmas CD called Wave Your Antlers on Nettwerk Records, and their Sing, Dance and Play with Bobs & LoLo airs on Treehouse TV.
Bobs is Robyn Hardy who has a background in teaching and linguistics as well as a passion for conservation education.
Her partner in rhyme is Lorraine Pond as LoLo. She is an environmental educator and kinesiology major.
Growing up on Vancouver Island, they share a love of the natural world and a passion for working with children. Creating Bobs & LoLo has allowed them to combine diverse academic backgrounds with a mutual love of teaching and the creative arts.
Rockin’ Robin & the Magical Tree is a brand new family show, which features music, puppets, dancing and fun. A colourful storybook set and magical tree provide the backdrop for an engaging, interactive show for children of all ages.
Rockin’ Robin and the Magical Tree is a brand new show that was created just around the corner in Ladner.
“It is a family production in every sense of the word,†said performer Terence Dorras-Donnelly.
The star of the show, Robin Redcoat, is played by Naomi Dorras-Donnelly. Her dad, John Donnelly, created the show and co-wrote the script with son Terence.
Terence along with John’s wife, Joy, are the lead puppeteers in the live performance. And the set was constructed by John’s other son Jordan.
“The show features colourful puppets, beautiful sets, and great original music as well as some recognizable covers that are easy to dance to,†Terence Dorras-Donnelly said.
Shows are at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and the theatre is at 9096 Trattle Street.
Tickets cost $19 in advance and $25 at the door.
