Comedy show brings laughs to Langley

The Fraser Valley Comedy Festival kicks off in Langley on Oct. 17.

The first stop of the 10-date Fraser Valley Comedy Festival will be in Langley.

The Festival’s opening show is at the Fox and Fiddle, 19530 Langley Bypass on Oct. 17 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

John Cullen, a TV and radio favourite is headlining the show with support from Katie-Ellen Humphries.

Cullen has performed at clubs across Canada, appeared at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival, the Winnipeg Comedy festival and has been on CBC Radio’s The Debaters.

One week later, on Oct. 24, the Chief Sepass Theatre will host The Big Show in the Fort, a co-production between the Fraser Valley Comedy Festival and the Langley Fine Arts School.

The show is hosted by Fort Langley local and festival producer Harry Doupe.

The event stars comic Ivan Decker, who’s been seen on Conan and is a 2018 Juno winner for Best Comedy Album.

Graham Clark, Brittany Lysseng, Patrick Maliha and Katrina Bennett will also be making the crowd laugh.

The Big Show in the Fort starts at 8 p.m.
