Fat City thanks their Lucky Stars

Rockabilly band swings into West Langley Hall March 18

Rockabilly sensation, Howard Rix and His Lucky Stars will visit Fat City for one night only, on Friday, March 18, at the West Langley Hall 9400 208 St.

 Rix is every ’50s rock icon rolled into one with — a greaser, in his white T-shirt, blue jeans, leather jacket and duck tail, who is magic on the microphone. Rounding out this formidable band is rockabilly hall-of-famer Ray Condo, with lead guitarist  Steve Nickleva, steel guitarist Jimmy Roy, as well as Michael Van Eyes, who rivals Jerry Lee Lewis on piano.  

Admission is $15 or $13 for students with valid ID. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., an introductory swing dance lesson is at 8 p.m., with the band sweeping the stage from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
