Local duo and recent nominees for a Fraser Valley Music Award, The Kwerks, are playing live at the Water Shed Arts Cafe on Saturday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m.
The Kwerks, an acoustic folk-pop band fronted by married couple Laura and Ryan Koch, entered the local music scene only last summer and have had notable success over the past year with quirky music videos posted on their YouTube and Facebook accounts.
In the fall, they landed a commercial deal with Dominion Lending Centres and appeared in a national advertising campaign, and in the spring, they released their debut self-titled EP.
Tickets for the upcoming show are $12 and can be purchased at the Water Shed Arts Cafe, 20349 88 Ave.
