A Langley musician is reaching out to the community for help in a contest to perform at a major music festival in Ontario.
Shylo Sharity (pictured below) is one of seven finalists in the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artists showcase, and should she receive enough online votes, will be able to perform in front of thousands of country music fans.
The winner of the contest will also receive a release from Universal Music Canada and a free trip to Nashville, Tenn. for a photo shoot and media training. Sharity is the only representative from Western Canada, with all other performers residing in Ontario.
Deadline to vote is Friday, June 24.
