“In life, I think we often lose sight that our most challenging trials and tribulations can also be our most teachable moments,” said Langley’s Chad Kroeger, the lead vocalist and guitarist for the rock band Nickelback.

“The very hardships that we encounter aren’t really obstacles at all,” he said today, upon the release of the band’s latest video for After The Rain. “Rather, they are seeds that, if planted properly, will bear fruit that we can learn, grow, and benefit from to be the very best versions of ourselves that we can be. And that is the message I wanted to get across in After the Rain.”

This track is off the band’s ninth studio album, Feed The Machine, which was released in June.

Additionally, the group announced today that Feed The Machine will be released on LP on November 10th as a limited-edition pressing on red and black marble vinyl with a download code.

The unveiling came during the final days of the diamond-certified, global-award-winning rock band’s extensive North American tour. The tour started in Detroit in June, includes tonight’s show in Winnipeg, and wraps up at home – in Vancovuer – on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Kroeger said an annoucement is also imminent about another international tour for Nickleback.

In the meantime, the band is already garnering feedback on their Facebook page, as well as through other social media channels, to the release of their latest video.

How the Langley artist’s band has grown

Nickelback was formed in Alberta back in 1995. Since then, the band has cemented itself as one of the “most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades,” Kroeger said.

Nickelback’s success includes worldwide sales of more than 50+ million units, solidifying their status as the eleventh best-selling music act and second best-selling foreign act in the U.S. of the 21st century.

Their “inescapable and irresistible smash” How You Remind Me was named Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Song of the Decade’ and was No. 4 on the Top 10 songs of the 2000s list.

Amongst all of the accolades, Nickelback was also been named Billboard’s Top Rock Group of the Decade.

Along the way, they have received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, 12 JUNO Awards, seven MuchMusic Video Awards, and have been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame (2007).

With more than 23 chart-topping singles and fans spanning the globe, Nickelback boasts 12 consecutive sold-out international tours, playing to “well over 8.5 million+ diehard and adoring fans.”

In addition to Kroeger, Ryan Peake (guitars, backing vocals), Mike Kroeger (bass), and Daniel Adair (drums, backing vocals).
