Langley students support Nepal quake victims

Some Langley Fine Arts students and alumni will aid the victims of the recent Nepal quake with a concert Monday night.

The Nepal Earthquake Relief Concert will be held June 1, from 7-9 p.m. at the Chief Sepass Theatre at 9096 Trattle Street.

Organized by Jessica Schmidt and Caara Yeung, the event will include students from the music, drama, dance, photography, art and writing departments of LFA.

“We called our show Across the Line, because we believe people in Canada can truly make a difference in people’s lives, even if we’re 10,557 km away from them,” said Yeung and Schmidt. “Compassion and empathy for others can travel over oceans, through borders, and across lines.”

Tickets are $10 and are available the day of the concert at the theatre box office.

Proceeds will go to Care Nepal.
