Join local author and artist Terresa Tetar as she releases two new children’s books.
On Sunday, April 15, the public is invited to the official launch for Pillow Friends and Jack’s Zoo Safari from 7 to 9 p.m. at Blink & Brow Co. (5499 Salt Lane).
Both books — written in rhyme — were inspired by Tetar’s grandchildren, and are suitable for children aged 0 to 8.
“Both books are part of a series and very fun and enjoyable to read anytime of day, but a nice bedtime story,” Tetar told the Times.
”Pillow Friends is about a little girl who goes to bed with all her stuffed animals. They come to life and keep her company and entertain her. It is funny and the animals are delightful.
”Jack’s Zoo Safari is about a little boy’s trip to the zoo. He takes along his family and some of Maiya’s friends. It is fun, adventuresome and wonderful for any child who uses their imagination while at the zoo.”
The books can be purchased from Chapters and Coles in Langley, as well as select children’s stores.
Tetar will also be doing a book signing at the Coles in Willowbrook Shopping Centre (19705 Fraser Hwy) on Saturday, April 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.
