Langley Community Music School’s (LCMS) own Rose Gellert String Quartet performs on Friday, June 14, 2024 to close the school season.

Langley Community Music School’s (LCMS) own Rose Gellert String Quartet will be keeping it light and fun at the final concert of the 2023/24 season on Friday night.

The musical evening – mixing Celtic fiddling with a playful rendition of Haydn’s “String Quartet in G Major, Op. 33, No. 5,” and much more – is intended to help catapult listeners into summer mode, shared violinist Will Chen.

“We are looking forward to sharing this program with the community,” he said.

“This will be a fun concert, and we invite everyone to join us for an evening of light music to kick off the summer!”

Rose Gellert String Quartet is ensemble-in-residence at LCMS, featuring Chen and fellow violinist Llowyn Ball, violist Peter Ing, and cellist Ben Goheen.

They are active musicians, teachers, and music coaches at LCMS and throughout the Lower Mainland.

As part of their residency, the group also regularly perform for the school’s concert series, provide outreach concerts at local schools and bring music to seniors’ homes.

This concert starts at 7 p.m. Friday, June 14.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, $10 for students and free for LCMS students. Tickets are available from the LCMS box office at 604-534-2848 or online at Eventbrite.
