Do you know someone between the ages of 12 and 16 whose exuberance knows no bounds when it comes to singing, dancing, and acting? Would that person love to take their skills to the next level plus meet friends with similar aspirations and interests?
For more than ten years, Surrey Arts Centre has partnered with Peter Jorgensen and the Arts Club Theatre Company to offer the Arts Club Musical Theatre Intensive’s Junior Program. For two weeks in July, students are immersed in the kind of training typically found only at the post-secondary level. The instructors encourage process over product and allow the students to be authentic and expressive on any stage they play—building their confidence and sense of community.
This year’s Surrey Intensive takes place July 4 to 15 (Monday to Friday), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a cost of $495.
Spaces fill quickly, and applications are due June 15.
