Langley residents can now travel abroad and take in the latest plays from the National Theatre, or visit world-renowned art galleries, without having to leave Walnut Grove.

Cineplex Cinemas has added a dedicated event cinema screen to its theatre in Langley, where unique cultural experiences will be showcased daily.

The Langley location is one of only 22 theatres across the country to have this option.

The event cinema series include stage, concerts and music, classic film, In the Gallery, dance, family favourites, anime, travel and The Met Operas. There will also be special, limited engagement presentations, holiday programming, rare archival episodes from popular television shows, and more.

“We have been seeing an increased demand for events cinema programming and are thrilled that a dedicated events screen is now open in Langley,” said Brad LaDouceur, vice president of event cinema for Cineplex.

“Our goal is to provide our guests with acclaimed and exclusive content from around the world with the added convenience of additional performances throughout the week. If you cannot go to London or New York, you can enjoy these brilliant performances on the big screen from the comfort of your local Cineplex theatre seven days a week.”
