A prominent father and daughter singing team will take a Langley audience through the sounds of the season at a fundraising concert Dec. 16.

Christmas with Mark and Colleen Donnelly gets underway at 6:30 p.m. in the Murrayville Hall, 21667 48th Ave.

The Donnellys will perform favourite carols and festive songs.

The evening includes a visit from Santa between 6:30 and 7 p.m. and a three-course appy and dessert feature is included in the ticket price.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Langley Memorial Hospital and the show is open to all ages. Tickets are $45 plus fees per person and available from EventBrite.

The doors open at 6 p.m. The Donnellys perform at 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. with activities in between sessions. Santa is back to visit more after the singing. TV weatherman Mark Madryga emcees the evening.

Most people know Mark as the popular anthem singer at Vancouver Canucks games but he’s spent his life involved in music and his children, such as Colleen, inherited the love of music.

The family which lives in White Rock has made various recordings, including Christmas CDs. Mark is also an accomplished choral conductor and arranger, specializing in Gregorian chants and 16th century polyphony.
