VIDEO: Neil Diamond tribute comes to Fort Langley

Chief Sepass Theatre hosts Classically Diamond starring Bobby Bruce on June 28

The music of Neil Diamond comes alive in Fort Langley June 28 with a tribute show by Nearly Neil himself.

Classically Diamond starring Bobby Bruce, is a showcase of Neil Diamond’s greatest work over his 40 year career.

Featuring Bruce’s rich baritone vocals, his mellodic guitar, a pianist and a string quartet, the show allows audiences to relive such hits as America, I Am … I Said, Sweet Caroline, You Don’t Bring me Flowers, Solitary Man, Cherry Cherry, Holly Holy, September Morn, Crunchy Granola Suite, Forever in Blue Jeans, Kentucky Woman, Desiree and Cracklin’ Rosie.

Bruce has spent his life on stage, from film and television to musical theatre and rock revues. In 1994, his talent for impersonating Neil Diamond came to life, and in 1998 he made the switch from impersonation to tribute, forming group Nearly Neil and The Solitary Band.

“For 20 years, his genuine, heartfelt connection to both the music and the audience has created a phenomenon able to recreate the excitement of a living legend at his very best,” wrote Rock.It Boy Entertainment in a press release.

“Possessing captivating stage presence paired with stunning vocal delivery Bobby Bruce delivers a memorable tribute in a league of its own.
