Video was a blast for Langley singer

Langley country singer Karen Lee Batten’s newest video – the one recorded on a South Langley farm – is getting a sneak peak on YouTube.

As part of the shoot for the video for Cause a Scene, a car was blown to bits on a rural Langley property last July.

The song is about a scorned woman causing a ruckus as her ex marries the woman who stole him away.

“The girl gets her heart broken, but she doesn’t want him back,” Batten, a three time BCCMA female vocalist told the Langley Advance during the video’s filming. “She’s just showing up at the wedding to cause a scene.”

The new tune is “a little rocky, country rocky,” Batten said.

It’s the first music video shoot for Batten since the one for Hearts on the Run for her last album, Every Moment.
