This will be year 10 for the Muriel Arnason Library as it marks Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year.

Festivities are at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.

On that day, the public is invited to enjoy dance and music as well as make a special craft and lucky envelope.

There will also be some tasty goodies to try, say organizers.

This opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year or learn all about it is free.

The library, at 20338 65th Ave., hosts several family-oriented events during the year to spotlight the diverse cultures that make up this community.

This is the Year of the Dog. The last time this came around was 2006. Because Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar, the date changes each year.
