Langley’s Kevin Kim has seen the heights of his birthplace, South Korea, and soon heads home after being there for the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Kim, a Grade 12 student at Walnut Grove Secondary, was tasked by an international firm that is a major Games sponsor to create a multimedia piece.

He’s been sending back dispatches to the Langley Advance during his time in Korea.

Since arriving Kim has literally warmed up to the trip.

“It was awfully cold on the first day but it got a bit warmer in the next few,” he explained.

His trip ran Feb. 12 to 27 and in addition to the Olympic assignment, he was able to sightsee and visit family who in Korea.
