Suit up, fellas.

Avia Employment Services is helping Langley men dress for success with a suit drive on Aug. 23.

“We know it is natural to be nervous for an interview or the first day or work, but those nerves can become worsened when the new worker does not feel like they have the suitable attire,” said Inez Montoya, Avia’s Industry and Community Relationship liaison.

Next Thursday, those in need of suitable clothing for job search are invited to the Avia offices at #101 20316 56th Ave. Staff will be there to help.

“Fitting rooms will also be available, so they can try on the selected items,” she said. “With our goal to be inclusive, language interpretation will be available at this event in Mandarin, Russian and Spanish.”

People can register for the suit session at mooresuitlangley.eventbrite.ca and must let organizers know if they would like an interpreter.

The items are courtesy of Moore’s, the men’s clothing store. The Moore’s Suit Drive ran during July. Last year 62,903 items were collected for men and women in need of interview clothes during the clothing drive.
