Langley group asks what comes after #MeToo

A local life-coaching group is holding a community conversation.

A group that hosts free frequent community events is tackling one of the big issues of the day – #MeToo.

Life+App is calling it a Soul Event on Friday evening.

People are invited to go to the Chief Sepass Theatre, 9096 Trattle St., for an evening intended to create a dialogue.

“We invite all members of our community to attend this free event, which will include on-stage interviews, guest speakers, music, media, and a reception in the foyer afterwards,” said Jennifer Law-Penner, programming director with Life+App.

Admission is free and the doors open at 7:20 p.m. on March 16.

The evening is inspired by the words of Archbishop Desmond Tutu

“We need to think differently, each and every one of us. Young men and boys need to be taught to respect their mothers and sisters, and reject the sexist imagery of an advertising industry that treats women and their bodies as commodities,” he said.
