Original art, jazz, appies and an auction are being used Friday to fundraise for an artist-run co-operative in Fort Langley.

The annual Arty Party brings together arty and non-arty types for an evening in support of the Fort Gallery.

The gallery’s primary fundraising event, proceeds from ticket sales help support this unique artist collective’s activities throughout the year.

The evening features art for auction and buyers don’t find out the name of the artists until after the purchases are made.

Music is provided by the band Lava Lights. There is dancing.

Tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased from the gallery in person, online at www.fortgallery.ca or at the door. Tickets are $40 per person.

This fundraiser takes place at the Fort Langley Community Hall, down the road from the gallery, from 7 to 11 p.m. on Nov. 3.

The gallery is a community based, nonprofit, artist collective that encourages and supports individual development and exploration in contemporary art.

Artists can find out about membership on the gallery website.
