The Langley-based Vancouver Stealth has been sold and is heading west to the Rogers Arena for its next season starting in December.
The Stealth announced the sale and relocation Monday morning.
“Over my 11 years as owner, I’ve come to love this game and the lacrosse community,” said Denise Watkins, who is selling the team to Canucks Sports & Entertainment.
“I’ve always known that my role was that of a builder and caretaker, and we would ultimately transition the team to a larger organization with greater resources,” said Watkins. “This was a truly heartbreaking decision.”
The Stealth have played at the Langley Events Centre for the past five seasons, since it moved north from Washington State in 2013/14.
