Langley Good Times Cruise-In board member Riccardo Sestito put out the invitation, and Jimmy Shine accepted.

“I have known Jimmy for a number of years and have had him out to other car shows I have put together in the past,” Sestito told the Langley Advance. “I was the first promoter to bring him into Canada.”

Adding some lustre to the charity car show on Saturday, Sept. 8 will be the presence of Shine, star of a few different auto restoration-themed reality TV shows.

His most recent screen endeavour was Rockin’ Roadsters in partnership with ZZ Top member Billy Gibbons.

He was also a judge on Car Warriors, and appeared on the shows American Icon: The Hot Rod Show, The Next Wave: the New Generation of Hot Rodders; Barn Find, and Weaponizers.

He is the owner of Jimmy Shine Work Shop in California where he continues to refurbish and remodel vehicles of various vintages.

At Cruise-In, Shine will be doing autographs and photos as well as bringing a little something special for one vehicle owner.

“Jimmy has made a special award that he will be giving away at Cruise-In for his pick,” Sestito noted.
