Fort Langley lit up the darkness with the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony Saturday evening.

A big crowd escorted Santa Claus from the Fort Langley Canoe Club docks on the Bedford Channel to the community hall.

Drizzle couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the little ones there as they received candy canes from the jolly ol’ elf. There was also hot chocolate and cookies courtesy of local merchants, live entertainment and oodles of festive lights.
