The Abbotsford Canucks will be staying home to prepare for the upcoming season, as the American Hockey League club announced that the Abbotsford Centre will host training camp dates from Wednesday (Oct. 2) until Saturday (Oct. 5).
All four days of on-ice sessions will be open to the public and it concludes with a free admission scrimmage at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Fans will get the chance to meet and greet Canucks players following the scrimmage. Doors are expected to be open at 10 a.m. on each day.
Fans are asked to secure admission to the scrimmage by visiting am.ticketmaster.com/canucksabbotsfordahl/shopping-cart.
This marks the first time that the team has hosted training camp locally. Last year they went to Chilliwack and the previous year saw the Canucks go to Port Coquitlam. Abbotsford did not have a training camp in year one.
