Become a Bombshell: Vancouver Stealth hold auditions for dancers

Auditions for the Bombshells Dance Team are being held Oct. 16 at the Langley Events Centre

The Vancouver Stealth are searching for new members to join the Bombshells Dance Team.

Auditions are being held on Sunday, Oct. 16 at the Langley Events Centre south gymnasium (Gate 8) for ladies ages 18 or older who have at least two years of trained dance experience.

The Bombshells offer dancers the opportunity to receive professional training, meet new industry people, perform on a regular basis in front of a large crowd and be part of an exciting professional sports team. Dancers also receive compensation on a per game and per appearance basis.

“Being a part of the Vancouver Stealth Bombshells is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Lexi McLelland, who has danced with the Bombshells for three seasons.

“It introduces you into a sisterhood of incredible girls that share the same dreams and passion for dancing that you do, and gives you the opportunity to perform in front of an enthusiastic crowd.”

Registration is at 11 a.m., and auditions run from noon to 3 p.m. Current headshots and a body shot must be submitted at registration.

Dancers should come prepared wearing athletic clothing and full hair and makeup, as if performing on game night.

The choreography and management is done by Alexis Whatley and Wharton Event Management. Dancers will be judged on floor performance, short combo performance and response to interview questions.

“The Bombshells are a key element of the overall Stealth brand. They represent strong, athletic women,” said Denise Watkins, owner of the Stealth.

“The Bombshells provide a great resource for our work and involvement in the local community, as well as important element of our overall entertainment for our game-day presentation. Auditions are important, there is no assumption that members of the previous team will make the current team. This keeps the competition high and helps us form the strongest team possible.”

Pre-registration is mandatory, and can be done by emailing Bombshells@StealthLAX.com. For more info, visit http://www.stealthlax.com/news/bombshells-audition-october-16.
