On Feb. 9 Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Green Wednesdays series presents Chemerical: Redefining Clean for a New Generation, a video documentary that tells a shocking tale about the products we use to clean our homes and bodies.
Chemerical tackles the “toxic debate” in an informative and entertaining way, not only by raising awareness, but by providing simple solutions.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day week with Green Wednesdays for a chance to win a signed copy of Stacy Malkin’s award-winning book, Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industry.
The film explores a serious topic with humour, as the Goode family from Ontario tries to turn a new leaf by creating and living in a toxin-free home.
But it is informative, too, as director Andrew Nisker works with numerous experts to give audiences the tools and inspiration to change their way of life.

Stacy Malkin, co-founder of the Safe Cosmetics Campaign will give away three autographed copies of her award-winning book, Not Just a Pretty Face.
Now in its third season, Green Wednesdays is open to the general public.
It is held on the second Wednesday of each month, from October to April, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kwantlen’s Langley campus, room 1325.
Green Wednesdays is hosted by Green Ideas Network and KPU’s School of Horticulture, with challenging environmental documentaries, intriguing dialogue and informative speakers, followed by door prizes and a Q&A session.
