An opportunity to learn from one of the world’s top floral designers is coming to Langley next month.
Renowned French flower arranger and floral designer Marie Francoise Deprez will be doing a workshop and demonstration for the Western Association of Floral Art Clubs on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 20675 87 Ave.
Using a variety of containers and unique structures, Madame Deprez will incorporate west coast foliage and materials, as well as exotic foliage and flowers imported from South America and Hawaii, into her designs.
Madame Deprez is a teacher, author and winner of many national and international flower competitions. She travels extensively to teach new techniques and share her creative designs.
In June, she was one of three international demonstrators invited to the World Floral Art Show in Barbados, which featured delegates from 39 countries.
The demonstration begins at 1 p.m. Cost is $50.
