Finalists for the 27th annual Langley business excellence awards have been announced, as the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce ramps up for its award night at the end of the month.
Langley’s chamber received a record number of nominations for this year’s awards program, which have since been evaluated and narrowed to a shortlist of finalists across eight award categories, said chief executive officer Cory Redekop.
The various categories recognize everything from entrepreneurship to community involvement to overall business success. They also recognize non-profits and individual business people.
Originally created 27 years ago as part of an economic development strategy, the annual Langley business excellence awards is a unique opportunity to highlight, promote, and celebrate the success, innovation, and diversity of Langley businesses, Redekop said.
“Langley is the region’s fastest-growing community, and our business sector is growing and thriving too. The Langley business excellence awards provides us an opportunity to uncover and share the success stories of our incredible local businesses, and we’re very happy to once again host this annual highlight,” he added.
All the finalists will be celebrated at the Oct. 26 gala, which will include a reception with hundreds of business, community, and government leaders, as well as dinner and the award presentation.
