Nominees now in for 21st Business Excellence Awards

The nominees are in for the Academy Awards style Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards taking place Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Cascades convention centre ballroom.

The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce will recognize 97 nominees in 11 different categories at the 21st annual Business Excellence awards.

The evening features a nominee reception, a cocktail reception, a gourmet four course meal, dinner entertainment by Langley’s own Exit 58, comedic MC duo Clay St. Thomas and Karen Daniels from JRfm, and the Academy Awards style recipient presentations.

Categories include Community Impact for profit and non-profit, Environmental Leadership, Service Excellence (retail/service), Service Excellence (food and beverage), Entrepreneur of the Year, U40 Business Person of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Medium Business, Large Business and George Preston Memorial Business Person of the Year.

Last year’s Business Person of the Year was Phil Jackman, owner of Valley Traffic Services.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for a cocktail reception with dinner and awards from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
