Langley’s own country music star Dallas Smith has done it again.
He’s up for another JUNO Award.
“What an honour to be nominated for country album of the year at the JUNO Awards,” Smith said.
“I can’t wait to celebrate with my Canadian Music family in my hometown of Vancouver this March,” he said.
Smith has a track record of noteworthy success, from front man of Platinum-selling rock band Default to two-time JUNO Award winner and three-time consecutive CCMA entertainer of the year.
Across his career, the 47-year-old hitmaker has amassed 21 gold-certified singles, nine platinum-certified singles, and four gold-certified albums, and just last summer was invited to debut at the Grand Ole Opry debut.

Theatre presents Yaga
The curtain went up on Feb. 13 for the second show of the season for Langley Little Theatre.
“Yaga,” a play was created by Kat Sandler, is described as a part thriller, part comedy, part nightmare fairy-tale.
The local rendition is being directed by Jacq Ainsworth, a familiar face around the Brookswood playhouse.
“I have always chosen to work on shows that have feminist values. What excites me most about ‘Yaga,’ is that the main characters inhabit a world where feminism just seems to be a given,” she shared.
“I am so glad these actors have trusted me to direct us through this mysterious, dark, funny storytelling adventure,” Ainsworth said.
Yaga runs until March 1, Thursdays through Saturdays, at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available online through langleylittletheatre.org.
This show contains mature content, and is restricted to people 15 years and older.
