Motorcyclist injured in Langley crash

Marks third crash involving motorcycles within two weeks

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash with a dump truck in Langley on Fraser Highway and 232 Street Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24.

Around 2 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to reports of a collision, which left a motorcyclist with non-life threatening injuries.

"The rider was taken to hospital," said Cpl. Zynal Sharoom with the Langley RCMP.

He said drugs and alcohol were not factors, but the investigation is still ongoing.

"It appears to be have been a complete accident... the motorcyclist misjudged the dump truck that was turning right," Sharoom said.

Traffic slowed down in the area, as a tow truck removed the vehicles, but the road wasn't closed.

This is the third collision involving a motorcycle within two weeks in Langley and Aldergrove.

The last crash was on Highway 1 in the early morning hours of Sept. 19, in which the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just the day before, Sept. 18, on Fraser Highway a motorcyclist also died after colliding with a pickup truck.
