VIDEO: One injured in Langley house fire

Sunday afternoon blaze damages house in 20100 block of 43 Ave.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation after multiple fire crews were called to a house fire in the 20100 block of 43 Ave. on Sunday afternoon, June 16, said Langley Assistant Fire chief Kevin Snowden.

"We have one gentleman, that I believe was the homeowner, that apparently was going in and out of the structure." Snowden told the Langley Advance Times.

"Looks like he may have suffered some smoke inhalation."

Other than that, no other injuries were reported.

Reported around 3:30 p.m., additional crews were dispatched while the first crews were on the way.

"Crews got some updates from dispatch, [and as a result] extended a fire call for a second  alarm while they were en route. [and] arrived to find moderate flames and smoke coming from the back corner of the two-story residence."

Firefighters at the scene could be seen covered in what appeared to be home insulation after emerging from the smoking house.

Blasts of water from fire hoses could be seen coming from the second floor.
