The Aldergrove Kodiaks played a strong game against Ridge Meadows Flames Friday night but came out at the short end of a 3-1 final score.

It was the second loss in the week, following a 3-2 victory for the visiting Mission Outlaws on Nov. 21 and leaves them stalled at 24 points after 26 games.

The Kodiaks outshot the Flames in the first two periods for a game total of 31-30, and scored the only power play of the night, with four power plays each.

Kodiak Paulvir Dosanjh opened the game’s scoring at 6:13 in the second period on the power play, assisted by Nate Castonguay and DJ Horne.

The Flames responded less than 10 minutes later to tie the game going into the third period.

The Flames scored their second goal just seconds into the third and followed it with an empty-netter in the final minute for their win.

Kodiaks Dosanjh was the game’s third star.
