Langley Trappers left victorious Wednesday night, Feb. 5, with their fourth win against the Aldergrove Kodiaks in the final crosstown match this season.
During the first half of the opening period, there was a lot of back and forth on the ice until Langley's Calvin Bright scored the first goal of the night, with Dalton Toma assisting.
During a power play two minutes later, Toma scored his own goal, soon followed by a third from Samuel Brown securing the Trappers lead 3-0 by the end of first period.
Middle period saw two more goals for the Trappers by Avraham Brown during a power play, and Patrick Coopman.
Just four minutes into third, a misconduct penalty was served by Trappers Parker Scott, while roughing penalties were served by his teammate Lucas Wood and Kodiaks' Lincoln MacDonald.
Coopman scored the sixth and final goal for Langley midway through the third period during a power play.
Aldergrove's only goal was landed by Joel Schmidt with just 39 seconds left of the game.
Kodiaks netminder Kyle Spak was busier than rival Armaan Kalia as the Trappers outshot them 52-26.
The three stars of the game were Langley's Toma (first), Samuel Brown (second), and Coopman (third).
Kodiaks remain seventh in the seven-team Harold Brittain Conference of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL), while the Trappers are in third.
