Avalon Gardens at Murrayville invites you to their Christmas Craft Fair, Saturday Nov. 19.

It’s that time of year again! Time to start thinking about where to shop for something unique and special for friends and family for the holiday season.

Why not check out a Christmas craft fair – especially one that also supports the Langley community?

Avalon Gardens Independent Senior Living is excited to invite you to their Murrayville community for their annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.!

With 30 local vendors boasting a wide array of hand-crafted products, a 50/50 raffle, food trucks, and plenty of door prizes, you don’t want to miss this family-friendly event.

“We’d like to welcome families to come out to this fun, kid-friendly event, do some Christmas shopping and have some fun!” says Avalon’s Recreation Manager, Lauren Ang.

With vendors like Krafters Korner, Kirby Pots, AliGrace handcrafted soaps, Betty Ann Perogies, Steamworks food truck and many more, you’re sure to find the perfect gift for that special someone on your list.

“One of our draw prizes is a weekend getaway that’s been donated by the family of one of our residents, and don’t forget the 50/50 draw – last year the pot was almost $1,000,” Ang says.

The Christmas Craft FaIr will feature residents’ tables with a variety of crafts they’ve been working on especially for the event.

The Christmas Craft Fair also features residents’ tables with a variety of crafts they’ve been working on especially for the event, including wreaths, paintings and hand-knitted pieces.

“Our residents love volunteering for the craft fair – some of these ladies have been knitting for 60 years!” Ang says. “We also have many of their children and grandchildren volunteering their time – it’s a great opportunity for inter-generational involvement.”

Held yearly, money raised from this event supports Avalon Gardens’ wellness and recreation programs, incorporating social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cognitive activities for the health of their residents.
