Sip, sample, shop and explore at the Vancity Women’s Expo & Pop-up, coming to the Cloverdale Agriplex and show barn Sept. 21 to 23!
“There’s definitely a lot that’s new and fresh to see,” says Breanna Ross, producing the second annual show with Shannon Ross. Offering everything from health and beauty essentials to business skills and – yes, even vodka tasting – “it’s definitely all-encompassing!”
Designed for women of all ages, the Vancity Women’s Expo + Pop-Up offers a fantastic day out with girlfriends, mothers and daughters to relax, get pampered and have fun. Channel your inner Beyoncé with the Army of Sass, a confidence-building dance training and performance program, explore the world of macrame, and learn about personal branding with a blogging panel that will explore branding and self-worth as it relates to women in business.
From shopping to tasting to learning something new, be sure to allow yourself time to take it all in!
Shopping – Have a blast browsing some 120 exhibits in all, from fashion, accessories and decorating ideas to hand-crafted artisan wares, goodies for the kitchen and more. Visit the vintage and pop-up shop, for amazing handmade items, locally designed goods and beautiful vintage items from sellers who typically don’t have a storefront. (In fact, there’s no better place to get a head start on that holiday shopping that’s on the way!)
You can’t beat free! – Get to know your new favourite treats with free food and beverage samples on-site, or relax and enjoy a little pampering with a free makeover.
Entertaining options – Head to the stage to take in live music, fashion shows sharing the latest trends, and an amazing DIY macrame workshop by Fern Weft – first-come, first-serve, and it’s free!
Work it! – Alongside the entertaining features of this year’s show are a host of learning opportunities, including cooking theatre demonstrations, decorating and travel ideas, and health and wellness advice. Among the career and business resources, find banks and financial institutions, wireless and technology companies, and women’s civic groups and clubs.
Be well – Recognizing the importance of wellness as we strive to strike a balance, the show welcomes professionals from the fitness, health and wellness, medical services, women’s sports teams, nutrition, skin care products, spas, dating services, and more.
