Whether your dad’s ideal day includes a bowl of ramen, a nice cocktail or browsing a new fantasy novel, Willoughby Town Centre has something to make Father’s Day special.

“Willoughby Town Centre is really about community,” says Tracey Ehman, Marketing Coordinator for the outdoor shopping hub in Langley. “We’re proud of the variety we offer – there’s truly something for every kind of dad.”

1. Take your dad out for a great meal

The easiest way to say thanks? Treat him to dinner. Willoughby’s dining options cover all the bases.

At The Mad Italian, tuck into an ambient restaurant and experience the artisanal house made, hand stretched down, neapolitan style pizzas, along with caesar salad accompanied by specialty drinks, local beer and spirits.

Noma Japanese Restaurant serves a full sushi menu, including sashimi, specialty rolls, tempura and miso soup.

Visit BanChan Korean Bistro for Korean barbecue platters, bibimbap in hot stone bowls, japchae (glass noodles with vegetables) and a variety of side dishes like kimchi and seaweed salad, or start dad's special day at The Hard Bean Brunch Co., serving eggs Benedict, French toast, breakfast sandwiches and bowls, famous waffle wings as well as specialty drinks and coffee.

2. Find a gift he’ll actually like

Willoughby’s shops also offer easy options if you're still on the hunt for the perfect present.

“People are often surprised at the mix of shops here,” Ehman says. “You can get something fun and unexpected, whether your dad’s into books, tech or collectibles.”

Albany Books is a local favourite for fiction, history and bestsellers, ideal for the dad who loves to read. For something a little edgier, Petty Vengeance Anime & Gaming carries comics, trading cards and pop culture merch.

At Maven, you’ll find a mix of men’s accessories and wellness items, perfect for the stylish or self-care-savvy dad. Meanwhile, Value Mobile is the place to score tech accessories and Town Centre Liquor Store rounds it out with a solid selection of local craft beers, whisky and more.

3. Make a day of it

With plenty of outdoor seating, a walkable location and friendly local service, Willoughby Town Centre can turn a quick gift stop into a relaxed outing.

“You can grab coffee, do a little shopping, have a bite to eat and enjoy some time outside,” Ehman says. “It’s about celebrating the people we love and supporting local while we do it.”

Don't forget! Father’s Day is coming up on June 16. Most businesses at Willoughby Town Centre are open seven days a week. For more information, visit willoughbytowncentre.ca.
