Families are in for a spook-tacular time at Willoughby Town Centre's second annual Halloween Stroll!
From 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 31, Willoughby Town Centre will be humming with Halloween activity as families, dressed in costumes both spooky and sweet, visit participating stores, trick-or-treat bags in hand. Expect a festive, family-friendly atmosphere with businesses decked out in cobwebs, pumpkins and twinkling orange lights.
For young trick-or-treaters, this stroll through the heart of the centre offers more than just candy – it’s a safe, welcoming adventure. Instead of navigating dark neighbourhood streets, children can move easily from shop to shop. Parents can relax as they stroll alongside, knowing that the space is festive and designed to create magical memories in a secure environment.
“This is our second time hosting the Halloween Stroll, and it’s a tradition we hope to continue for many years,” says Tracey Ehman, Marketing Coordinator at Willoughby Town Centre. “We were thrilled with the turnout last year and can’t wait to see all the creative costumes again this year.
“We’ve always believed in creating spaces where neighbours can gather, and events like this bring that vision to life."
A variety of local businesses will be participating in the event, easily identifiable by posters displayed on their doors or on their windows. Families are invited to stroll through the centre, enjoy the festive atmosphere and engage with local shops.
Building on past events
The Halloween Stroll builds on the momentum of Willoughby Town Centre’s past events and its vision of being a community hub.
“After the success of Willoughby DAYZ in September, we’re excited to welcome everyone back for a fun afternoon this Halloween," Ehman says.
“We’re a tight-knit community, and events like this remind us of the importance of coming together, not just as businesses, but as neighbours.”
