Well-known Langley criminal Wade Corey Bryant, 33, will serve 15 months in jail for attempting to obstruct justice.
Bryant pleaded guilty and was sentenced in Surrey Provincial Court last Thursday. His co-accused Robert Wright, a career criminal, pleaded guilty on Monday for the same crime.
Wright will be back in court for a pre-sentence report on May 6.
Bryant was already serving time for seriously injuring a man in an attack with a bat outside the Artful Dodger in September 2011.
For that crime, which resulted in the 19-year-old victim having to learn how to walk, talk and eat again, he was sentenced to 18 months in jail last April.
But before Bryant pleaded guilty to that charge of assault, he was charged with trying to obstruct justice in that case. Bryant along with Wright were charged with that offence on March 18, 2013.
He pleaded guilty to the bat attack in April after being charged, and has been in jail ever since.
Bryant and Wright are very well-known to Langley police and court houses across B.C., with a long list of criminal convictions dating back more than a decade.
