Langley has a reputation to maintain when it comes to helping kids with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses.
For the past three years, Langley’s White Spot restaurant has sold the most Pirate Paks on the special annual Adult Pirate Pak Day which is Aug. 13 this year.
The campaign supports Zajac Ranch for Children, a charity that provides camps for children and young adults with life-threatening illness and chronic disabilities.
The Langley White Spot on Fraser Highway has raised more money on Pirate Pak Day than any other location for the last three years, serving more than 2,000 Pirate Pak last year alone.
The goal this year is 2,100 boats and staff have been busy getting ready for the fundraiser next Wednesday.
White Spots in Langley are located at 19651 Fraser Hwy., 3070 264th St. and 20077 91A Ave. All three are participating in the event Aug. 13.
At the 2013 fundraiser, a total of 845,789 Pirate Paks were sold at White Spots.
Since 1968, more than 23 million Pirate Paks have been sold.
White Spot has raised $268,386 in support of Zajac Ranch, sending more than 100 kids and young adults with special needs to camp since 2008.
