A 66-year-old man was found dead Monday morning in Abbotsford shortly after firefighters were able to search a trailer that has been engulfed in flames.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) responded to a 911 call about the fire in the 2400 block of Bradner Road just after 5:30 a.m.

After fighting the blaze, AFRS members searched the trailer and found the deceased man inside. There was no one else in the trailer at the time.

The man’s identity has not been released.

Abbotsford Police investigators, AFRS investigators and the BC Coroners Service continue their investigation into the cause of the fire, which does not appear suspicious at this time, police said.
