Alcohol may have been a factor in a single-vehicle crash that took down power lines in Brookswood on Saturday night.
Around 10:45 p.m., a large black pickup truck with three Langley men inside, slammed into a power pole at 199 Street and 46 Avenue.
A passenger behind the driver was trapped inside and had to be extracted with the Jaws of Life, said Langley RCMP. He was sent to Royal Columbian Hospital with various injuries. He has since been released from hospital.
The 22-year-old driver and other passenger, both from Langley, were taken to Langley Memorial where they were treated and released.
BC Hydro had to be called in to shut off the live wires and to replace the power pole. Power was out in the area for a little while.
