Aldergrove abduction suspect sought

Langley RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public to identify a person of interest in their continuing investigation into the attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl in Aldergrove last week.

Langley RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public to identify a person of interest in their continuing investigation into the attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl in Aldergrove last week.

The investigation began on September 22 shortly before 1 p.m. when a Grade 12 student advised she had been approached by a male in a red pickup truck asking if she needed a ride. He approached her a second time and took hold of her arm, releasing her only after she punched him in the face.

He returned to his vehicle and drove away. Langley Serious Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation.

Police ask the public to review the composite drawing of the suspect and call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 if you are able to identify this person of interest.
