The 7-11 convenience store at 200 Street and 40 Avenue in Langley Township’s Brookswood neighbourhood was robbed early this morning.

A weapon was used to threaten staff by a lone male suspect, Langley RCMP said, but no one was hurt. The type of weapon was not disclosed.

The man fled on foot.

He was described as slim, in his forties and wearing baggy pants and a hoodie.

The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. and what police describe as a “minimal” amount of money was taken.

The area was cordoned off and traffic blocked off while the investigation was underway.

Police were planning to canvass the area in search of security video footage.
