Carved statue of first mayor vandalized, and then repaired

A carved statue at Sendall Gardens was vandalized in July. It depicts Langley City's first elected mayor Ernie Sendall.

This carved statue of Langley City's first elected mayor, Ernie Sendall, was vandalized in early July. It is located at the popular Sendall Gardens Park on 50 Avenue in Langley City. City officials have already repaired the damage and the statue is as good as new. Sendall served as mayor from 1955 to 1959.
