City Q16: 20 Questions for Langley City Council candidates

 

Dave Hall – Yes. Langley City would appear to be supportive of both refugee and immigrant integration along with language skills training. Community grants are supportive of cultural events and international celebrations.

Nathan Pachal – No. I believe that we are missing an Arts & Cultural Centre. I would support such a centre in Downtown Langley. It would help revitalize Downtown Langley which would, in turn, help reduce crime.

Carla Robin – No, there is always room for increasing cultural services as they are at the heart of any community. They enrich people’s lives, provide social interaction and increase prosperity. Exploring and providing new opportunities for residents should be an ongoing investment of time and funding. This includes pushing for an actual Arts and Culture Centre. 

Val van den Broek – No - we need to create more cultural events in the City. We have such a diverse culture yet we don’t seem to appreciate. It we had a proper facility to showcase arts & culture we might be able to unite & share
