Be the Boss Canada comes to the Langley area, with the localized episode of the television show airing tonight.

The Corus Entertainment’s show pits two employees from The Bone & Biscuit Co. against each other to win a huge promotion – all they have to do is complete a series of challenges.

One of those competitors is Jen Pinch from the Cloverdale store, and she’s going head to head with Ashley Beaumont, from The Bone & Biscuit store in Kamloops.

From making tasty dog-friendly muffins to educating complete strangers about the benefits of natural food for pets, Pinch and Beaumont are vying for a life-changing job opportunity – they’ll get to be a boss at their own store.

“You’re not just trying to do something better than your competitor, but you’re also performing in front of an audience in many cases,” Pinch said before the episode aired.

“During one demonstration, I ended up covering from head-to-toe in slime with 50 people watching. All I could say is ‘so much for those new shoes’.”

Be the Boss Canada – now in its second season – is produced from the award-winning production team behind Undercover Boss Canada.

As way of backgroud, The Bone & Biscuit Co. is known for its focus on high-end, holistic, and organic pet foods.

Company CEO Lee Drescher is proud of the two employees who stepped up for this on-air challenge.

“Not only did they have to complete difficult challenges, but they also had the added element of working with four-legged friends who sometimes don’t cooperate,” Drescher said.

“At the end of the day it isn’t about who wins or not, but about how devoted they are to our company and our mission. It’s really inspiring to watch,” said the CEO.

To find out how Pinch does in the competition, people can watch the results tonight. Her episode airs at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10 on W Network.
