Cold weather warning issued for the Langleys

Gateway of Hope offers extra sleeping mats for homeless

With evening temperatures forecast to remain at or below freezing, an extreme weather alert for the Langleys has been issued by the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope shelter at 5787 Langley Bypass under the Assistance to Shelter Act.

“If you are sleeping outside please come to the shelter,” the notice said.

Gateway has added additional sleeping mats in addition to the 32 beds usually available.

Anyone who needs shelter after 9 p.m. should co0ntact the RCMP at 604-532-3200.
