Some of the many ducklings rescued and now adopted by various local small farms.

All of the nearly 200 discarded ducklings being fostered at a South Langley farm have been adopted to new homes.

Julie Delisle said that the Abbotsford SPCA found homes for all 190 ducklings she had been caring for since just after Nov. 11.

The ducklings were found by the side of the road near the Abbotsford Tradex.

They appear to have been still in shipping boxes, and may have literally fallen off the back of a truck.

Delisle got a call asking if she could look after about 100 ducks, and received almost twice that many.

After the Langley Advance and other media outlets covered the story, the SPCA got a number of phone calls.

“The response was huge,” said Delisle. “A lot of different people had to come together to find enough homes.”
